Biamonti writes: Biamonti 15 – “Der Arme Componist”, 1788. Unfinished sketch of humorous singing. It is found, or was found, with the copy of the cello part referred to in the following number, on a sheet in the collection of the W. (Wittgenstein) family in Vienna. Studied and described by Max Unger. (M.U.W., p. 158, number 1). It is in the Beethovenhaus on a sheet cataloged HCB Bsk 17/65c with a cello part (Biamonti 16) and other various sketches; it occupies lines 11-12 of the first page and lines 1-4 of the second. It is in the key of A- and in tempo 6/8. The piece has the characteristics of the Lieder of the period: the singing doubled by the right hand of the piano. The piece consists of 10 measures, 5 of which are complete and the others without piano accompaniment.
