Biamonti 61. Two sketches, perhaps originally intended for the Finales of the Trios Op. 1 no 1 and 3,

for piano, violin and cello, 1793 – 1794.
The musical examples on this page are by Graziano Denini.

Biamonti 61. Two sketches, perhaps originally intended for the finales of the Opus 1 Trios, Nos. 1 and 3 for piano, violin, and cello, 1793–1794. They are in the Kafka collection at the British Museum (we reproduce the two pages) and are reported by Shedlock (The Musical Times, July 1892, pages 396–397, which we attach here) as follows:

Shedlock reports the two sketches in the reverse order to Biamonti’s, and therefore I transcribe his text in Biamonti’s order (which is also the order in which they appear in the Kafka Miscellanea):

Shedlock: The Musical Times and Singing Class Circular, July 1892, pages 396 and 397 (see images)

No sketches, it is said, have been discovered of the Pianoforte Trio in E flat (Op. 1, No. I). Was perchance, the following, occurring on sheet 68 mentioned above, a sketch for the Finale of the E flat?

The second page of sheet 116 is of great interest. On the first two staves we find – It almost seems as if this were an early sketch theme for the Finale of the C minor Trio.
