Biamonti 268 – Fragment in A-flat major (perhaps for piano) Schm. III, bars 3, c. 1800. Perhaps to be linked to the previous issue; it bears the annotation: “Hier muss der Effect von Hörner hervorgebracht werden” (Here the effect of the horns must be produced).
This fragment is in Bonn at the Beethoven Haus on the sheet called BH 114 lines 9-10 This pair of bifolios, together with the sheet called BH 59 (also in the possession of the Beethoven Haus) were studied by Arnold Schmitz in his volume “Beethoven Unbekannte Skizzen und Entwürfe” (Zweite Blatt). This volume has been completely transcribed by us and can be consulted in this section of the site)
