Biamonti 639 – Symphony in E flat major, 1815, pag. 106 (N., page 348) without musical quotation.
Insights from the Beethoven Music Research Center (May 2026): Nottebohm writes: “In unserer Darstellung sind manche unausgeführt gebliebene Skizzen und einige Stellen, die abgeschrieben sein mögen, unerwähnt geblieben. Sinfonie” in Es-dur und “Sonatas” in E-dur.” [“In our presentation, some unperformed sketches and some passages that may have been copied were not mentioned […] (p. 106) “Symphony” in E-flat major and “Sonata” in E-flat major.]
This sketch is found in the Princeton Library in New York in the Scheide Skizzenbuch on page 108 (?) staves 1-2 among the sketches for a Trio in F minor for piano, violin, and cello that Beethoven left unfinished.
It is only two measures in the key (perhaps) of E-flat major for strings with the addition of horns in F.
