Biamonti 664 – March in E-flat major (Sketch), 1816. It is found at the beginning of an 1816 notebook described by Nottebohm, II, page 552, who provides the following information. New Information from the Beethoven Music Research Center www.lvbeethoven.it (June 2026): This march is located in the Berlin State Library, manuscript Autograph 11 (first section) on page 1, full page. Nottebohm describes it in his Zweite Beethoveniana: “This (S.1) is a sketchy sketch for a march, of which the bestowal is unbeknownst.” [“The first sketches (p. 1) concern a march whose purpose is unknown.”] while Beethoven calls it “Marsch alla fuga für die p. Eugen” [“March to the fugue for p. Eugen”] At the bottom of the page we find an ink note not in Beethoven’s hand where we find written: “Anmerkung (Note).
