James Green and Benedetta Saglietti in Genoa
May 12, 2014
One can be proud of many things: of deeds accomplished, of loved ones, or of one’s possessions. In this case, my city, in many ways ungrateful and a stepmother, surprised everyone with its beauty and its hospitality. The visit of James Green, publisher, writer, and Beethoven researcher from Alexandria (Washington, D.C.), his friend Richard Oropallo, and Benedetta Saglietti, a dear friend (and author of the book “Beethoven, Portraits and Images,” EDT-De Sono 2010, as well as several important research papers and essays) was a true success. Human, friendly, professional, and cultural. So thank you, James, thank you, Richard, and thank you to the wonderful Benedetta. But above all, and let me say it with all my heart: thank you, Genoa!
