Biamonti 95 – Unused Piano Sketches, 1795.

These sketches are found on a single sheet held in the library of the Paris Conservatoire (M.U., pages 110 and 87).

They belong to Manuscript 87 of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Gallica section; the sketches occupy the entire front page of the sheet, while the reverse side has either remained unused or, more accurately, contains some faint pencil scribbles that are difficult to decipher.

Below is the description found in the Gallica section:

Johnson, Tyson and Winter, in their book on Beethoven’s sketch material, place this sheet—at least based on the type of paper used—among those of Viennese origin dating from around 1792–1793. It is closely related to the Kafka collection (46, 47, 51, 52, 53, 54, 89, 80, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 139), the Fischhof papers (3, 4, 5, 6, 22, 23, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56), as well as others held at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn (BH 102, BH 114), among still others.
