Biamonti 820 – Various Unused Sketches. February – August 1825 (Deroda, pages 100–102)

Various unused sketches that could be considered as motifs or indications for the penultimate movement of the String Quartet in B-flat major, Opus 130—later defined as the Cavatina.

These sketches are preserved in the De Roda Skizzenbuch, housed at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn. They are not directly connected to the final version of the Cavatina but may reflect Beethoven’s early thematic explorations for that movement.
