Hess 203 – From the 25 Scottish Folksongs, No. 20. Copy: 29 IV. [According to C/F, p. 213, this is an early version (first sketch) of “Faithfu’ Johnie” on a text by Anne Grant); it has been replaced by Op. 108 No. 20. Composed in July 1810.]

Hess writes in volume XIV page XIX: 51) 25 Schottische Nr. 20 (Hess-Katalog Nr. 203) Kopie: Bonn S. 186 die 4 ersten Takte 12 zeilig, 187-190 das ganze Lied, 16 zeilig. 29 IV, BI. 96v-99r, 10 zeilig, in beiden Kopien Nr. 43. -Oberschrift ,.Schottisch”. – T. 8 sind im Gesang die Vorschlage kurz notiert, obwohl sie lang sein müssen, vgl. Vcl.; in diesem Sinne Korrektur.
