In memoriam: 1827 – On the death of Ludwig van Beethoven
This section of the article contains a series of recent photographs of the places where the events took place between March 26, 1827, and the months immediately following. The photographic section is by Dominique Prévot, President Emeritus of the A.B.F. (Beethoven Association France). Our heartfelt thanks go to him. We do not provide detailed information on the locations; you can find them in our section “Beethovenian Breviary – The End: Beethoven’s Last Days” by Carlo Alberto Pagni. A reading of Artemio Focher’s book “26 – 29 March 1827” in Italian will also be essential. This article will be available from July 2015.
