Hess 206 – From the 26 Welsh Folksongs, No. 20. Autograph: Artaria 187 (finale only). Copy: 29 IV. [According to C/F, p. 213, this is an early version (first draft) of “To the Blackbird” (to a text by David ap Gwillim or Gwilym). Composed in July 1810; it was replaced by WoO 155 No. 20.]

Hess writes in the “Supplemente zur GA” number XIV page XVII: 40) 26 Wallisische Nr. 20 (Hess-Katalog Nr. 206) Kopie: Bonn S. 14-20, 12 zeilig, 29 IV BI. 7v-10v, 10 zeilig, beide als Nr. 4 bezeichnet. Ab T. 18 auch in B’s Eigenschrift: Artaria 187, S. 31, 14 zeilig. Der Schluß lautet hier: (score follows) Der im Autograph zusatzliche Takt vor der “1ma volta” ist in 29V nicht vorhanden, in Banner Kopie gestrichen.
